Séance™ for Macintosh
Until now, you have been limited to using Oracles, Mediums, Fortune Tellers, Clairvoyance, Snake Oil, and Microsoft Windows. Now you can speak to your Phantom directly . . . with your Macintosh.

From the ground up, this software was built to be a MacOSX application. It takes advantage of the latest MacOSX Technologies to provide the best user experience possible. Séance™ has an intuitive interface which lets you operate your Phantom Camera or Cinestation quickly and efficiently. The User Interface elements clearly identify what is happening with your Cine files, so you can see "at a glance" what is happening . . . even from a distance.

Features such as GPU Accelerated Graphics, Drag & Drop and Multi Processing are heavily used throughout the application to make your project's workflow easier, sophisticated and efficient.

Communicate with your Phantom
Séance™ supports several models of Phantom Devices. Currently, these include the Phantom Flex, Phantom HD and Phantom 65. This software is also ideal for the Cinestation.

Color Accurate Live Preview
Séance™ includes a GPU Accelerated Live Preview that closely matches what is displayed on the HD-SDI Output of the camera and now provides all of the image adjustment controls available on the hardware. Color adjustments can be made on a shot by shot basis. You can tweak the settings to give your imagery the look that you want, before downloading the footage to your Cine file. Using the same color science that the Phantom Cameras use, the Cine Preview provides a match to what the DP expects to see. This also matches what will be displayed by the Phantom Cine Toolkit, providing consistent color through the post process.

Multiple Save Destinations
Instead of saving a Cine file to a drive and then spending hours copying those files to other drives, why not write to all the drives at once? With Séance™, you can specify an unlimited number of Save destinations. While you are downloading, each location gets an exact duplicate of the Cine file, saving you hours of file copying. Subfolders are also created across each volume for those productions that need a pre-determined directory structure.

Real Time Cine Preview - No HD-SDI required
Preview your Cine shots on your laptop. Using Vision Research's Color Science, Séance™ provides a color accurate representation that duplicates what you would normally see on an HD-SDI monitor. With the complete set of color controls now provided with Séance™, you can alter the appearance your Cine shot, before you save it. All of the settings are stored into your Cine file, allowing you to non-destructively save your creative color decisions. When combined with the Phantom Cine Toolkit, you can ensure consistent color all the way through your production.

Bad Pixel Detection & Repair
Lets face it, not all cameras are perfect. On some cameras, there is a faulty pixel. As Cine files save the raw untouched sensor data, these faulty pixels can sometimes be saved into the file. Many Editorial and Color Grading packages are unable to detect and fix these pixels. With Séance™, you can optionally repair these pixels before the data is saved into the Cine file. Your Colorist will never see a white dot again.

Embedded Time Code and Reel Names
With the introduction of the Phantom Flex, SMTPE Time Code became available. Soon afterwards, most Phantom Cameras could internally generate a SMPTE Time Code time stamp even if they didn't include SMTPE Time Code hardware! With Séance™, you can now save that TimeCode information right into the Cine file.

Along with the Time Code stamp, you can now save a reel name too. With these two features, your post-production workflow becomes significantly easier.

Support Contract
The Séance™ package includes 6 months product support. An annual support contract will be required for access to support and software updates after the initial 6 months.
