I'm having trouble exporting DPX frames using the demo version of Cineon/DPX Pro for Final Cut Studio 2.
The final output is in fact 1920x1080 but the resolution is poor and the vertical alignment is off.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi,

I am not sure how you are creating the footage, or which settings you are using. But generally if you use Compressor, everything should work as expected. Please take a look through the manual, for suggestions on exporting frames.

Hi Bob,

I have installed the demo versions of Cineon/DPX Pro for Final Cut Studio & Phantom Cine Toolkit for Final Cut Studio. What should I be exporting with, Compressor? When I try to export using Compressor DPX image frame sequence is not an option. The only exporting program I have with the DPX frames sequence option is Quicktime Conversion. What gives? Do I have to set something up in Compressor?

Thanks

Hi Jango,

Take a look through the documentation with that came with the CineonDPX DMG file. It explains how to use the Compressor plugins.

I think I figured out the problem.
I'm running Final Cut Pro version 5.0.4 which comes with Compressor version 2.

Thanks

Hi,

The software will not work properly with that version of FCP. We only support Final Cut Studio 2, and 3.
